FAIR ACCESS & INCLUSIVITY POLICY
Purpose
Entertainment Park (EP) is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect, ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or disability, feels valued and can fully participate in all our activities. This policy outlines EP’s dedication to diversity and inclusion, aligning with national guidelines to promote equality and enhance participation in our entertainment offerings, including e-Karting, ten pin bowling, mini golf, and more.
Scope
This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, visitors, and stakeholders involved with EP. It governs all areas of our operations, including customer service, community engagement, event organisation, and administration.
Policy Statements
Fair and Equitable Access
EP will provide equal access to all its facilities and ensure a fair distribution of resources, booking times, and opportunities across all activities. We are committed to providing inclusive amenities that support the participation of all individuals, no matter their ability, gender, or circumstances.
We will manage scheduling and resource allocation transparently to ensure everyone, regardless of gender or background, has equal opportunities to enjoy and excel in our offerings.
Commitment to Gender Equity
EP is dedicated to ensuring balanced gender representation across all levels of the organisation, from leadership and staff roles to participant engagement in our activities.
We actively promote programs and initiatives that encourage the participation of women and girls in all areas of our entertainment offerings, aiming to correct gender imbalances and create a supportive environment for all participants.
Inclusion of Diverse Communities
Recognising the cultural diversity of our community, particularly in South West Sydney, EP commits to cultural competency by training our staff and volunteers on inclusivity practices and appropriate communication. We will continue engaging with key community stakeholders such as local councils, parents, community groups, and businesses to ensure our programs are respectful, inclusive, and culturally sensitive.
Safeguarding and Customer Protection
EP will uphold strict safeguarding policies to protect all participants from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. These policies will be regularly reviewed and updated with input from stakeholders to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Clear reporting pathways will be provided for grievances and misconduct, ensuring that complaints are addressed promptly and confidentially.
Anti-Discrimination and Harassment
Discrimination, harassment, and any form of bullying are strictly prohibited at EP. We will take immediate and appropriate action against such behaviours.
Our anti-discrimination and harassment policies will be clearly explained to all staff and volunteers to ensure they understand their roles in maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment, with clear processes for escalating any issues.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
EP will actively work with local government bodies, community organisations, and industry partners to improve the inclusivity of our programs and offerings.
Collaborations will focus on expanding access, developing inclusive programming, and leveraging resources to create a broader community impact.
Implementation and Monitoring
The EP Management Team, with support from department heads, will be responsible for implementing this policy.
Regular training sessions will ensure that all staff are familiar with inclusivity principles and understand their specific responsibilities. We will measure the effectiveness of this policy through annual reviews, community feedback, and participant surveys to ensure ongoing improvement.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to adapt to new challenges or changes in community demographics or legal requirements. Stakeholder feedback will be essential to this process.
By enacting this Inclusivity Policy, Entertainment Park reaffirms its commitment to creating a welcoming and equitable environment for all visitors and staff. This policy aligns with national inclusivity strategies and sets a framework for local actions that contribute to a more inclusive and equal society.
